Terms of Service

Effective June 25, 2026

Agreement and the service

By accessing or using CrossTold, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

CrossTold provides educational Bible-study material and Scripture references without hosting Bible text. Use a physical Bible in the translation of your choice to read referenced passages.

Subject to these terms, CrossTold grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for your own Bible study and other uses expressly authorized by CrossTold. A CrossTold account opens the study library; it does not transfer ownership of CrossTold's content, software, data structure, or intellectual property.

Nature of CrossTold's analysis

CrossTold's book studies, foundation content, explanations, guided-study material, and reflection content are study aids and interpretive commentary. They are not inspired, infallible, or equal to Scripture, and they are not a substitute for pastoral, legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Some passages may support more than one responsible interpretation. Read every passage in context, compare Scripture with Scripture, and test every interpretation against the biblical text.

CrossTold intellectual property

CrossTold reserves all rights in the copyrightable original expression embodied in the service. This includes its original book studies, foundation content, written explanations and teaching content; editorial annotations; original selection, coordination, arrangement, and enrichment of content; visual assets; interface expression; reports and downloads; and custom source code and documentation, in each case only to the extent legally protectable.

CrossTold also reserves its rights in the CrossTold name, logo, tagline, and other source identifiers under applicable trademark and unfair-competition law. CrossTold does not claim copyright in ideas, facts, methods, systems, functional logic, or ordinary website layout apart from the protectable expression used to implement them.

Permitted and prohibited use

You may use CrossTold through its intended interface for personal Bible study and may make limited quotations or references where permitted by law, with appropriate identification of CrossTold. Broader organizational, publishing, redistribution, integration, data-access, or commercial rights require a separate written license from CrossTold.

Unless CrossTold expressly authorizes it in writing, you may not scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk-extract, copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, publish, mirror, frame, reconstruct, or create a substitute database or competing service from CrossTold's protected content or service. You may not use automated means to collect CrossTold's enriched content; use it to train, evaluate, or supply automated systems; remove ownership or attribution notices; bypass access controls; reverse engineer protected portions of the service except where applicable law does not permit that restriction; interfere with service operation; or use CrossTold unlawfully.

Your account

You are responsible for lawful use of your account and for protecting your credentials. CrossTold may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, prevent abuse, comply with law, or preserve the service. CrossTold may change or discontinue features and may update these terms by posting a revised effective date.

You can request permanent account deletion from your account controls.

Support and platform help

CrossTold support exists for account access, technical trouble, content-review concerns, permission questions, accessibility issues, and general platform help. Support does not purchase ownership of CrossTold content, Scripture, biblical facts, passage references, or paid account access.

Support requests may be sent to support@crosstold.com. CrossTold may review, prioritize, correct, revise, or decline requests based on the needs of the service and the review standards described in these terms.

No warranties

CrossTold is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. CrossTold makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, title, non-infringement, or that the service will meet your expectations.

CrossTold does not warrant that every book study, foundation page, explanation, feature, download, or result is complete, error-free, theologically exhaustive, or suitable for any particular ministry, teaching, academic, commercial, legal, financial, medical, counseling, or personal decision.

Limited liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrossTold and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, hosting providers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, enhanced, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, use, or access arising from or related to the service or these terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrossTold's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service or these terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid CrossTold for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.

Reporting concerns

Signed-in users can Submit a Concern when something should be reviewed by the CrossTold team. Submitted concerns may be rechecked, corrected, revised, or restored after review. User submissions never publish changes automatically.

Questions about these terms, permissions, support, or commercial licensing may be sent to support@crosstold.com.

CrossTold mission

For the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

CrossTold exists for readers who have access to Scripture and need a clear framework for understanding it. It helps everyday Christians study every book in context, trace the Bible's unified story, and see how Scripture points forward to Christ and how the cross stands at the heart of the biblical story.

Why we encourage a physical Bible

Open the Word. Slow down. Stay with the text.

CrossTold is designed to guide you into Scripture, not replace it. Opening a written copy of God's Word creates room for undistracted attention, helps you see each passage in its wider context, and gives you a lasting place to mark, remember, and return to what God is teaching you.

The power is not in paper and ink themselves, but in the living God who speaks through His written Word. A physical Bible can help us approach Scripture with reverence, patience, and readiness to hear, believe, obey, and treasure it. Keep your Bible beside you as you use CrossTold, read every reference in context, and let this site remain a companion to study, never a substitute for Scripture.

Study With Care

CrossTold is a study aid, not a replacement for Scripture. Read each passage in context, test every connection carefully, and use the Method link below to understand how CrossTold protects responsible interpretation.
